Pop Goes The News — Canadian retailer Roots launched a campaign Wednesday that showcases homegrown artists like Francesco Yates, Brett Kissel and Hannah Georgas.

The #sweatstyle campaign, which also features k-os, Sophie Pelletier, Dave Monks of Tokyo Police Club, and Kira Isabella, will be shown in Roots stores in Canada, the U.S. and Asia as well as on transit shelters in several Canadian cities.

According to Nielsen Music, the album sold 8,000 units in the week that ended Friday, putting it just over 1 million.

After performing Saturday night at The Living Room in New York City, he’s back in Canada for a series of gigs — including an Aug. 15 show at The Rex in Toronto — in advance of his album launch party Aug. 28 at his hometown’s La Sala Rossa.
