‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ series to be shot in Toronto

Pop Goes The News — It’s going to be a big year for Canadian author Margaret Atwood and her fans.

Just days after news that a miniseries based upon her novel Alias Grace will start shooting in Toronto in mid-August comes news that a series based upon The Handmaid’s Tale will begin production in the city in mid-September.

Sarah Polley producing ‘Alias Grace’ in Toronto

Pop Goes The News — Four years after Sarah Polley announced she was adapting Margaret Atwood’s novel Alias Grace for the screen, cameras are scheduled to roll.

Alias Grace will be made into a six-hour miniseries from Aug. 15 to Nov. 15 in Toronto.
