Greyhound buses up for grabs

Pop Goes The News – An auction will be held early next year in Toronto for 38 former Greyhound buses.

The fleet goes up for grabs Jan. 18 – eight months after Greyhound Canada ceased operations. The company shut down its Western Canada routes in 2018 but continued doing business in Ontario and Quebec until May 2021.

Corporate Assets Inc. is running the auction, which will take place at 685 Lakeshore Blvd. East.

Five of the buses, which have seating for 55 passengers, are wheelchair accessible and some feature leather seats and built-in multimedia screens. The buses are model years 2006 and 2007 and, according to the auction website, have mileage ranging from 599 km to 428,864 km.
