Bill Nye’s new series to shoot in Montreal

Pop Goes The News – Bill Nye’s new series about things that threaten the planet – from authoritarianism and climate change to viruses and volcanoes – will start production in Montreal next month.

The End Is Nye is scheduled to be shot from the end of August until October for U.S. streaming service Peacock.

In addition to hosting, Nye will serve as executive producer of the series, along with Brannon Braga and Seth MacFarlane. Braga will also direct.

The End Is Nye explores “the most epic global disasters imaginable – both natural and unnatural – and then demystifies them using science to show how we can survive, mitigate, and even prevent them,” according to a press release.

Nye, 65, hosted the series Bill Nye, the Science Guy from 1993 to 1998 and Bill Nye Saves the World in 2017 and 2018.
