Pop Goes The News – Joaquin Phoenix will spending his summer in Montreal – and Meryl Streep might be, too.
Disappointment Blvd., a new film from director Ari Aster (Midsommar), is scheduled to shoot in and around the city from the end of June until October.
While Phoenix is confirmed for the project, Streep is only rumoured.
The plot has been kept under wraps but the movie has been described as “an intimate, decade-spanning portrait of one of the most successful entrepreneurs of all time.”
Phoenix spent time late last year in Toronto while wife Rooney Mara shot Nightmare Alley. He made 1995’s To Die For in the city.
