Ryan Reynolds among stars in 2016 Super Bowl commercials

Pop Goes The News — Canadians Ryan Reynolds, Seth Rogen and Drake are among the stars appearing in commercials that will air during this year’s Super Bowl on CBS.

Reynolds will be seen in an ad for Hyundai, Rogen stars opposite Amy Schumer in a spot for Bud Light, and Drake promotes T-Mobile.

Set to the song “What A Man,” the Hyundai ad shows two women driving through “Ryanville” — where everyone is Reynolds.

In its first day online, the commercial racked up more than 225,000 views.

Hyundai also enlisted comedian Kevin Hart to appear in another commercial that will run before kick-off.

The Bud Light commercial has Rogen and Schumer kicking off the brand’s political-themed campaign for the “Bud Light Party.”

Rogen previously teamed up with Paul Rudd for a Samsung commercial that aired during the Super Bowl broadcast in 2013.

Drake’s T-Mobile ad plays up on his iconic “Hotline Bling” video.

Alec Baldwin and Dan Marino star in a spot for Amazon that was created by Leo Burnett Toronto. Missy Elliott will also appear in the final ad.

Other celebrities who will show up in ads airing during the Super Bowl include the late Marilyn Monroe for Snickers, and Jeff Goldblum and Lil Wayne for Apartments.com.

Companies are paying a record $5 million USD per 30-second commercial for this year’s Super Bowl broadcast on Feb. 7.
