Pop Goes The News — Toronto-born singer The Weeknd announced Thursday he will kick off a tour in his hometown.
The Madness Fall Tour starts Nov. 3 at the Air Canada Centre and wraps up Dec. 19 in Miami.
The tour includes five other Canadian dates: Nov. 24 at the Bell Centre in Montreal; Nov. 27 at Winnipeg’s MTS Centre; Nov. 29 at Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary; Nov. 30 at Rexall Place in Edmonton; and Dec. 2 at Vancouver’s Rogers Arena.
The tour is in support of The Weeknd’s new album Beauty Behind the Madness, which comes out Aug. 28.
The 25-year-old, who was born Abel Tesfaye, currently has the single “Can’t Feel My Face” at the top of the charts.
Tickets go on sale Aug. 28 but a Facebook pre-sale begins Aug. 26 (using code “MADNESS”).
